Swim mom

noun - A swim mom is a mother of a swimmer, generally a pool swimmer under the age of 18, but it can also be referred to a mother of an open water swimmer of any age. Swim moms have a reputation to passionately care and worry about their child's well-being as it relates to their peers, coaches, teammates, general team ambiance, expectations, and responsibilities. Swim moms also have a reputation to be detail-oriented, effective, and generally available to volunteer in a variety of roles on the swim team which helps the swim teams function and stay afloat.

Swim moms also refer to North American middle-class suburban women who spends a significant amount of their time transporting her school-age children to their swim practices and swim meets.

The swim mom was always volunteering to run the snack bar at swim meets.
