Tony Scalabrino is an open water swimmer, engineer and weatherman from Cape Town, South Africa who has served as an escort pilot on his boat Spadavis for approximately 150 ocean swimmers on behalf of the Cape Long Distance Swimming Association.

Swimming Career

He is holder of the slowest Robben Island crossing record (between Robben Island and Bloubergstrand in 7 hours 15 minutes).
