Traversée du Lac d’Annecy
Traversée du Lac d’Annecy is a 2-race open water swimming competition held in Lac d’Annecy (Lake Annecy), France. It is one of the World's Top 100 Open Water Swims and held in crystal clear turquoise lake lined by vivid mountain greenery and azul skies.
The races are 1 km and 2.4 km and were first held in 1913 with continuous competitions since. The lake is a well-known French tourist site commonly known as the Venice of France. The lake is fed by five rivers and a powerful underwater source, protected by strict environmental laws, to create a beautiful site for swimming.
