Jimi Kiner, founder of the Triton Masters Swim Team
The Triton Masters Swim Team is a U.S. Masters Swimming program that is offered at the University of Tampa and is headed by Jimi Kiner. The Triton Masters Swim Team focuses on the development of adult masters swimmers and triathletes from beginners to the advanced.

Practice Times and Location

The Triton Masters Swim Team practices Monday-Thursday from 5:30-6:30 am at the University of Tampa pool.

Head Coach

Jimi Kiner has been the Head Coach of the Triton Masters Swim Team since he founded the team in 2006. Kiner has coached competitive age group swimmers, adult swimmers, open water swimmers and triathletes with the Greater Tampa Swimming Association since 2001. During his swimming career at The University of Tampa (1997-2001), he was a 22 time All-American, including a National Championship in the 100 Breaststroke (55.49) in 2000. In 2000 he represented the Greater Tampa Swimming Association at the United States Olympic Trials. He has guided many swimmers to USA Swimming National Swimming Championships. He also is the Assistant Coach at The University of Tampa. He has overseen two NCAA Division II National Records, 12 NCAA Individual National Champions, one NCAA National Relay Champion, a staggering 78 All-Americans, and continually posts in the top 20 teams in NCAA Division II Men and Women's Swimming.
