Troyden Prinsloo

Prinsloo won three gold medals at the 2007 All-Africa Games and studied at the University of Georgia in the United States.
A 2-time Olympic pool and open water swimmer, he won three gold medals at the 2007 All-Africa Games. Previously he earned a silver medal in the 800m freestyle at the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, he placed third at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in the 1500m freestyle.
He was also a representative of South Africa at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and is a successful open water swimmer having won the Redhouse River Mile, one of the oldest open water competitions in the world, two times at the Midmar Mile, and the 2012 10 km South African Open Water Swimming Championships by 0.3 seconds over Chad Ho.
He finished 12th in the Olympic 10km Marathon Swim at the 2012 London Olympics on 10 August 2012 and participated in the New Zealand Ocean Swim Series and has won the SPAR Redhouse River Mile. He also holds the record from Robben Island in Cape Town, South Africa in 1 hour 23 minutes.
