Noun - Tsunami (plural: tsunamis or tsunami; from Japanese: 津波, literally "harbor wave") is a series of waves or surges most commonly caused by an earthquake beneath the sea floor. Tsunamis can arrive in minutes and may last for more than eight hours. Tsunamis are unlike normal Coastal waves and are highly dangerous. Tsunamis are more like a river during a flood or a mountain of water, often filled with debris.
