UANA was founded by Mexicans Don Javier Ostos Mora and Don Antonio Mariscal Abascal and enjoys a mutually beneficial partnership with United States Aquatic Sports and the Aquatic Federation of Canada. Eldon Godfrey is currently the President of the Unión Americana de Natación.
