Vuelta A S'Espalmador

Vuelta A S'Espalmador is a 10.6 km open water swim in Ibiza, Spain. Known as the Traversía de la Posidonia - Formentera, it is part of the Ibiza Ultra Team multi-discipline individual and team competition on 28 April 2012. The Traversía de la Posidonia - Formentera includes two swims: the longer 10.6 km Vuelta A S'Espalmador and the shorter 5.3 km Vuelta A Es Pas.
The Ibiza Ultra Team event takes place in Formentera in the Balearic Islands. S'Espalmador is a small, uninhabited island slightly north of Formentera, separated by a shallow sandbar. During low tide it is possible for one to wade between the two islands.
