Mariel Hawley

Mariel Hawley completed crossings of the English Channel and Catalina Channel, and a circumnavigation of the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim. The Mexico City native successfully swam the English Channel on 12 August 2011 in 14 hours 33 minutes under the guidance of pilot Michael Oram. She crossed the Catalina Channel in 11 hours 27 minutes on 25 August 2012 under the auspices of the Catalina Channel Swimming Federation.

She is also part of the fastest four-way English Channel relay, Sport City who included Hawley, Jorge Urreta, 55-year-old Luis Pineyro, 48-year-old Omar Díaz González, 38-year-old Alejandro Moreno, 26-year-old Mayalen Noriega, supported by coach Rodolfo Aznar and Dr. Alexander Kormanovsky.
