- he has swum the English Channel in 2002.
- he has crossed the Strait of Gibraltar in 4 hours 10 minutes on 4 October 2007 at the age of 40 from Almansa Point.
- he is a type 1 diabetic 2007 October who has also completed a two-way of Windermere in 2001 and 2005
- he set a breaststroke record across Loch Lomond in 2004 in 17 hours 50 minutes 24 seconds at its 31 July 2004 Championship.
- he completed the 1999 Manhattan Island Marathon Swim.
- he completed the 21-mile (33.7 km) BLDSA 2 Way Windermere Championship (2WW) in 14 hours 22 minutes 8 seconds at its 5 August 2001 Championship.
