Christine O'Brien is a 38-year-old Irish open water swimmer.
Open Water Swimming Career Highlights[edit]
- On 26 January 2019, she finished 2nd in the 50m breaststroke at the IISA Ireland 1k National Championships in 46:00 in Wild Water Armagh, Northern Ireland.
- On 26 January 2019, she won the 50m butterfly at the IISA Ireland 1k National Championships in 35:13 in Wild Water Armagh, Northern Ireland.
- She was a member of Team Global Tridents, an Irish open water swimming relay consisting of Christine O'Brien, Lauren O'Malley, Darran Cusick, Dominic Mudge, Louise Darlington and Francie Haughey that completed a 35 km crossing of the North Channel between Northern Ireland and Scotland on 29 July 2019 in 11 hours 54 minutes 24 seconds from 54 38.242 N - 5 31.333 W (start) and 54 51.490 N - 5 8.803 W (finish), ratified under North Channel Swimming rules.
