Corsica

Corsica is a mountainous island in the Mediterranean Sea with a mix of stylish coastal towns, dense forest and craggy peaks (Monte Cinto is the highest). Its beaches range from busy Pietracorbara to remote Saleccia and Rondinara. It's been part of France since 1768, but retains a distinct Italian culture.

Open Water Swimming

Swimmers attempt to swim across the Strait of Bonifacio that is between the island of Corsica and the island of Sardinia that divides the Tyrrhenian Sea from the western Mediterranean Sea. It is one of the World's Top 100 Island Swims.
