Dea Ann Joslin is a 61-year-old American pool and open water swimmer from Petaluma, California. She is a U.S. Masters Swimming member, a member of the South End Rowing Club, a swim coach, and mother of five.
Open Water Swimming Highlights[edit]
- She has participated in nearly every swim in San Francisco Bay including the Alcatraz Swim, the Golden Gate Bridge Swim, the swim from the Bay Bridge to the Golden Gate.
- In September 2002, she crossed the Maui Channel Swim as a solo swimmer in 5 hours 31 minutes.
- On 29 August 2003, she completed the first solo round-trip crossing of the Maui Channel in 9 hours 20 minutes from Maui to Lanai and back (3 hours 57 minutes + 5 hours 23 minutes).
- In 2006, she crossed the Maui Channel Swim as a solo swimmer in 4 hours 54 minutes.
- In 2008, she crossed the Maui Channel Swim as a solo swimmer in 6 hours 20 minutes and in 4 hours 30 minutes
