'The Frequent Flyers are a 6-person mixed relay team from Great Britain and Germany that attempted a 69 km (49 mile) all butterfly relay swim in Lake Geneva, Switzerland. They finished with an unratified time of 33 hours 34 minutes 9 seconds on 13-14 July 2016. The team consisted of Mark Johansen, Kevin Blick, Sam Mould (Samantha), Robert Fisher, Rob Ouldcott, and Boris Mavra. Their unprecedented swim attempt using butterfly faced primal and dangerous conditions including predominant headwinds exceeding 32 knots. The relay decided to change to freestyle in the interests of safety after nearly 13 hours. Their swim was a charity event, raising funds for Bloodwise (formerly Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research) because blood cancers take too many young lives. The Frequent Flyers are a subgroup of the Serpentine Swimming Club in London, England.

Guinness World Record

The Frequent Flyers set a Guinness World Record for the "Fastest crossing of the English Channel swimming in relay - Butterfly (Mixed Team)". This was added to the records list on Openwaterpedia as English Channel - Fastest Butterfly Relay Crossing. The team included Boris Mavra, Mark Johansen, Robert Fisher, Samantha Mould, Robert Ouldcott, and Kevin Blick. Their time was 19 hours 15 minutes from Shakespeare Beach, Dover in the United Kingdom to Calais, France on 10 August 2015.
