Open Water Swimming Career[edit]

he has volunteered as an observer with NYC Swim
he has done numerous open water swimming competitions from Texas to New York including the Great Hudson River Swim, Brooklyn Bridge Swim, Little Red Lighthouse Swim, Governors Island Swim, Park to Park Swim, Nubble Light Challenge and Grimaldo's Mile
he was recognized with a 2012 Hudsie Award by NYC Swim for his frequent participation in NYC Swim events
he competed in Stage 7 of the 2014 8 Bridges Hudson River Swim in New York
he competed in the 2015 United States Winter Swimming Championships in Lake Memphremagog, Vermont
he competed in the 2016 United States Winter Swimming Association National Championships in the 200m freestyle on 30 January in New York City in 1.2°C (34.3°F) water of the La Marina venue in the Hudson River
he completed the 45.8 km (28.5-mile) Manhattan 20 Bridges Swim in New York in 8 hours 18 minutes
