Papa Mali

Papa Mali (born Malcolm Helm Welbourne in Vicksburg, Mississippi on 6 May 1957) is a New Orleans-based, American singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer who played during Matthew Moseley's 25-mile 14 hour 55 minute crossing of Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana. He played together with David Amram and conga player Alfred Uganda Roberts on Moseley's escort boat.
