Peter Frayne (1920-2012) was a police officer whose beat included the Dover waterfront. He ably served as the Honorable Assistant Secretary of the Channel Swimming Association and many years as an Observer including a time where he had to jump in to swim with Florence Chadwick due to boat problems. He also was the Observer for Gerald Forsberg, Mihir Sen, Linda McGill and Tom Hetzel.
