Reece Southall (born November 1999 in Brisbane, Queensland) is an open water swimmer and lifesaver from Australia.
Open Water Swimming Career[edit]
- he is a member of Beyond The Black Line pod in Brisbane, Australia, coached by 25 km world champion Brendan Capell
- he is an accomplished waterman specialising in open water swimming
- he is the Australian record holder in Pool Rescue and an accomplished surf lifesaver.
- In 2011, he finished 8th in the 3 km Mana Island Swim in Fiji
- In 2012, he finished 3rd in the 4.8-mile Distance Swim Challenge in Santa Monica, California, USA
- he won the 2014 15 km Pacific Open Water Challenge in Samoa
- he won the 2014 Samoa Swim Series
- he won the 2015 Samoa Swim Series
- he won the 2016 Samoa Swim Series
- In January 2016, he won the 17.5 km race at the Epic Swim Festival in Lake Taupo, New Zealand
- he won the 2016 3 km Bay Break in Queensland, Australia
- he finished 2nd in the 5 km New Zealand Open Water Championships
- he finished 42nd overall in the 48th annual Waikiki Roughwater Swim on Oahu
