Varne Ridge Holiday Park

Provides self catering accommodation, comfort and support to Channel Swimmers from all over the world, while they wait for the right weather conditions to swim.
Swimmers need only bring swimming togs, goggles, ear plugs, towels, feeds and grease and can rely on equipment free for use: feeding poles, flasks, hot water bottles, assorted weather clothing, etc.
Varne Ridge is located on the cliffs overlooking the English Channel towards France, where a swimmer can focus on the challenge ahead, the Mount Everest of open water swimming. It has been considered a haven for channel swimmers for over 20 years, managed by Evelyn Frantzeskou and the late David Frantzeskou of Folkestone.
Honours[edit]
Varne Ridge Holiday Park was inducted into the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame in 2014 as an Honour Organisation.
