220 Triathlon

From Openwaterpedia

220 Triathlon is the UK's longest-running and most popular magazine for all things triathlon-related, with each issue providing the latest news, race coverage, training/nutrition advice and gear reviews.

History[edit]

Started in 1989 by a dedicated enthusiast working out of his Swindon flat, it has since grown to become the magazine of record for UK triathletes of all abilities looking to improve their times and get more enjoyment out of the sport. With a major relaunch of 220triathlon.com completed in October 2013, the staff is committed to providing our readers with engaging, in-depth content on all digital platforms, as well as in print.

Origin[edit]

What does the number 220 refer to? The original method of estimating one's maximum heart rate (and thus your training heart rate range) was to subtract your age from 220.

Open Water Swimming[edit]
