A Man of Arran is a 20-minute documentary film about Paddy Conaghan, an 82-year-old Irish open water swimmer from Arranmore Island (Árainn Mhór) who won the 2022 WOWSA Awards Man of the Year for his charity swim around Ireland between 4 December 2021 and February 2022, raising over €104,400 for Gemma's Legacy of Hope charity while swimming over 300 swims between starting and finishing on Arranmore Island. He swam at as many piers and beaches as possible as he drove around the entire Irish coast. He completed 300 swims over 10 weeks, averaging 4 swims a day. On one day, he took the plunge 12 times at different locations.
