Afreen Ahmed is a support crew member for a 3-person relay team called teamRIPTIDE (Michelle Brooker, Jack Boyle and Noel Grimes) that became the first TRiO team to make the Dál Riata Channel Swim crossing between Scotland and Northern Ireland.

teamRIPTIDE[edit]

In June 2016, teamRIPTIDE started at the Mull Of Kintyre, Scotland and made landfall south of Cushendun, Northern Ireland in 7 hours 44 minutes 21 seconds with support crew Milo McCourt and navigators Charles Stewart and Pádraig Mallon.
