Arend Grondman is an escort pilot from Cape Town, South Africa who has guided marathon swimmers such as Roger Finch of Johannesburg on 14 Robben Island crossings in 2011-2012 and Ned Denison across False Bay in December 2012. He also serves as an Observer for the Cape Long Distance Swimming Association in South Africa and served in this role for Theodore Yach's 8 km swim around Cape Point.
