The Around Beavertail Swim is hosted around Beavertail Island in Jamestown, Rhode Island

Around Beavertail Swim is an 11.1 km near-circumnavigation swim around Beavertail Island in Jamestown, Rhode Island, USA. Beavertail is connected by a small isthmus to Conanicut Island, so the 11.1 km route is a point-to-point, near-circumnavigation of the island. It is held annually in August.

Organizer

The swim is organized by Patrick Reyes and Beavertail Open Water, a 501c3 non-profit created to host the event and promote initiatives of marine conservation. Reyes took over as race director from Michael Garr who pioneered the 11.1 km route on 1 October 2017 in 5 hours 30 minutes and successfully organized the race through 2023.
