Bahía de Banderas (Banderas Bay) is a bay on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, within the Mexican states of Jalisco and Nayarit. It is also the name of an administrative municipality, located on the bay in Nayarit state. The port and resort city of Puerto Vallarta is on the bay.

- Punta Mita, located on the north end of Banderas Bay in the Mexican state of Nayarit, about 10 miles north of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, is the start of Corazón de Mar Bahía de Banderas, a 8 - 10 km from Punta Mita to Marieta Islands and 34 km marathon swim from Punta de Mita to Chimo, Cabo Corrientes in Mexico organized by Oceans Seven swimmer Mariel Hawley Dávila.
