Bill Dorney is a 65-year-old American waterman from South Jersey. He is the namesake for Team Dorney, a group of lifeguards, watermen, waterwomen, and open water swimmers from South New Jersey to south Florida who compete in a number of ocean competitions including the John T. Goudy Memorial Rescue Races.
Dorney has produced more South Jersey swim champions than anyone and has also coached some athletes to win lifeguard world championship events.
