Camlough Lake's First Dip of the Summer

Camlough Lake is a lake in the city of Bessbrook in Newry County Armagh in Ireland. It is site of ice mile attempts and completions as well as the Camlough Lake Water Festival, The Great Ulster Swim, and the GLOW Summer's Night Swim.

Camlough Team

Camlough Lake was site for the Guinness Book record set by the Camlough Team, a relay of 220 swimmers who swam non-stop 685.5 km (426.5 miles) in for 232 hours 52 minutes over 9 nights and 10 days in 2009 under the leadership of Aoife McCourt-Lynch and Pádraig Mallon.

Ireland Ice Swimming

Camlough Lake is also site of Ireland Ice Swimming, a series of ice swimming preparations under the guidance of Padraig Mallon, Ger Kennedy and Nuala Moore.
