Bob Duenkel, former Executive Director & Curator of the International Swimming Hall of Fame and coach of Camp Chikopi.
Camp Chikopi is the first competitive swimming camp in the world located in Ontario, Canada, where athletes train in both swimming pools and the open water.
Open Water Swimming
Camp Chikopi teams have participated and won A.A.U. and U.S. Swimming National Championships over the years. Several veterans of the Camp became IMSHOF Honorees: Diana Nyad, Julie Ridge and Marty Sinn and did coaches: Buck Dawson and Bob Duenkel.
