Channel Swimmers' Chat Group

From Openwaterpedia

The Channel Swimmers' Chat Group is part of the Channel Swimmers website and is a growing online forum that provides invaluable education and encouragement to those seeking to attempt the English Channel specifically and marathon swims in general. It was created and is managed by International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame Honour Swimmer Nick Adams of London.

The Channel Swimmers' Chat Group was started in the summer of 2000, initially hosted with Smartgroups but it is now hosted with Google. Its primary aim is to keep swimming friends in touch with each other. Due to the international nature of Channel Swimming there is no Club Room or Social Evening, and email is the communication tool of choice.

This free service was nominated for the 2012 World Open Water Swimming Offering of the Year award.
