Coquina key

From Openwaterpedia
(Redirected from Coquina Key)

Coquina Key is a residential island surrounded by Tampa Bay in western Florida. The island is accessed by two bridges that cross the bayous. The island is located in southeast St. Petersburg not far from the city's downtown waterfront, marina district and Tropicana Field, home of the Tampa Bay Rays. Just off the island are several shopping areas and two locally renowned decades old eateries.

It features cooling sea breezes; dramatic open water vistas; rambling streets and cul-de-sacs with names like Wahoo, Sunfish and Tuna; waterside city park with soccer fields, tennis and basketball courts, fishing docks and jogging trail; hundreds of waterfront homes, condominiums and town-homes with deep water direct access to Tampa Bay and the Gulf; and neighborhood clubhouse and pool make the community of Coquina Key a distinctive place.
