Edwin de la Cruz is a navigator and escort pilot from the Philippines who guided Ingemar Patiño Macarine, nickname the Pinoy Aquaman, to complete an unprecedented 10.5 km crossing of the Hinatuan Passage from Brgy. Dona Helen, Municipality of Socorro, Siargao to Brgy. Cagdianao, Municipality of Claver, Surigao del Norte in the Philippines in 5 hours 8 minutes on 1 January 2014.
