Emma Radford is a 28-year-old Australian open water swimmer from Sydney. She is a member of the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming and a member of the MSF Core Group.
Open Water Swimming Highlights
- She achieved the Australian Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming with the following three marathon swims:
- 25 km Port to Pub on 20 March 2021
- 27 km Palm-Shelley on 26 January 2021
- 34 km Derwent on 1 January 2020
- On 15 May 2016, she completed the 10 km South Head Roughwater Swim from Bondi Beach to Watson's Bay in Australia in 2 hours 40 minutes.
- On 25 February 2017, she completed the 19.7 km Rottnest Channel Swim in 7 hours 10 minutes 22 seconds.
- On 23 July 2017, she finished 7th in the 45.9 km 20 Bridges Circumnavigation Swim of Manhattan in New York City in 7 hours 28 minutes 51 seconds at the age of 25.
- On 19 May 2019, she finished 18th in the 10 km South Head Roughwater in Bondi Beach, Australia in 2 hours 58 minutes 40 seconds.
- On 11 July 2019, she completed a 32.3 km crossing of the Catalina Channel from Santa Catalina Island to the Southern California mainland in 11 hours 1 minute 59 seconds.
- On 4 August 2019, she completed a 33.2 km crossing of the English Channel from England to France in 10 hours 50 minutes at the age of 28 to complete the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming.
MSF Core Group
She is a member of the MSF Core Group that oversees standards and policies for Marathon Swimmers Federation projects. She is joined by David Barra, Caroline Block PhD, Elaine Kornbau Howley, Andrew Malinak, Anthony McCarley, Evan Morrison, and Sarah Thomas.
