Frösön

Frösön is the largest island in the lake Storsjön, located west of the city Östersund in Jämtland, Sweden. During most of recorded history, Frösön was the regional centre of Jämtland, and it is the location of the Frösö Runestone, the northernmost in the world.
Open Water Swimming
Anna-Carin Nordin pioneered the first 30 km counterclockwise circumnavigation swim around Frösön on 24 July 2022 in 11 hours 11 minutes, starting at 10:17 am and finishing at 9:28 pm at Badhusparken with escort captain Lars Ivarsson.
