Frank Drum of the Dolphin Club was the official observer of Ted Erikson's successful swim from the Farallon Islands to the Golden Gate Bridge in 1967 together with Captain Dave Kinley, Jerry Thompson, Duncan Mcleod as a pace swimmer, John Parents as a pace swimmer, Colonel Stuart Evans as a pace swimmer, Ted Moffet, and Captain Hank Schram of the yacht Salmon Queen.
