48-year-old Austrian ice swimmer and coach Gerald Daringer after completing a Polar Ice Mile on 29 May 2025 to become one of only four people in history to complete 3 Extreme Ice Miles (over 2 km), an Ice Zero Mile, the Ice Triple Crown, and a Polar Ice Mile. Gerald Daringer is a 48-year-old open water swimmer from Telfes Im Stubai, Austria. He is a lecturer at the Department of Sports Sciences at the University of Innsbruck. He is the Chairman of the Para County Federation and Austria Para Federation.

• He is the creator and coach of AQUA and ICE, a series of ice swimming training camps.
• On 29 May 2025, he completed a Polar Ice Mile at Longyearbyen, Svalbard, Norway in 3.4°C water and -2.10°C air temperatures in 26 minutes and 6 seconds at the age of 48.

• On 5 January 2025 at the vEltSbad Cup 2025 in a 50m pool in Veitsbronn, Germany, he completed an Ice Zero Mile (1,609m) in 28 minutes in 0.37°C water to become the first Austrian to achieve an Ice Zero Mile in the 6th fastest time for an Ice Mile under these water temperatures.
• On 9 February 2021 in Achensee, Pertisau, Austria, he completed an Ice Mile in 3.20°C water and -2.50°C air temperature, swimming 1.10 miles in 36:24.
• On 11 April 2021 in Achensee, Pertisau, Austria, he completed an Ice Mile in 4.90°C water and 10.70°C air temperature, swimming 1.34 miles in 42:16.
• On 25 February 2024 in Lake Aguelmam Sidi Ali, Khenifry, Morocco, he completed an Ice Mile in 4.57°C water and -0.90°C air temperature, swimming 1.0253 miles in 29:21.
• On 9 January 2022 at the Gdynia Winter Swimming Championships in Poland, he completed an Ice Kilometer in 16:47.37 in 2.39°C water and -4.00°C air temperature.
• On 13 January 2024 at the Ice Bear Trophy Altenworth in Altenwörth, Austria, he completed an Ice Kilometer in 16:10.56 in 1.17°C water and 1.10°C air temperature.
• He achieved the IISA Ice Triple Crown in 2024.
• He completed an Extreme Ice Mile in 2021.
• He is the multiple Austrian national champion in the Ice Kilometer, 500m freestyle, 25om freestyle.
• He completed the Baltic Cold Beast 1 km in Gdynia, Poland.
• He won the 2019 Austria Swim Open Cut - Open Water Series.
• He serves as the Vice Chairman of the IISA Para Swimming Committee.
