- He completed the inaugural Sea Monkey Challenge, a year-round program to swim in Seal Beach, California initiated by the Sea Monkeys, a pod of ocean swimmers who train and compete up and down the Southern California coast and many places around the world with Doug Garland, Sean Oatey, Mark Fell, Rick Gregory, Gerry Parker, Loren Wright, Amy Aston, Mary Brain, Hank Wise, Peter Knapp, Marissa Carrillo and Michael Kilpatrick.
- He completed a 32.3 km tandem relay crossing of the Catalina Channel from Santa Catalina Island to the Southern California mainland on 21-22 September 2019 in 9 hours 54 minutes with the following members of Team Neptune: Sam Fandrich, Mike Tran, Dave O’Neil, Devon Beebe, Fred Gilbert, and Gerry Parker.
- In 2024, he participated in the Swim Long Beach Catalina Channel Tandem Relays when they completed a 12 hour 40 minute 32.3 km crossing of the Catalina Channel together with Dylan Jones, Mike Hall, Sam Simmons, Bob Hagle, Jeff LeBauve, Steven Johnson, Megan Jones, Alan Gobron, Loren Wright, Adam Luco, Tony Gale, and Bennett Moxom with coaches Hank Wise and Katie Rowe, and support crew Will Diaz and Steve Sanchez. They won the 2024 Outstanding Achievement Award from the Aquatic Capital of America.
