Gerry Parker is an American pool and open water swimmer who is currently en route to complete the inaugural Sea Monkey Challenge, a year-round program to swim in Seal Beach, California initiated by the Sea Monkeys, a pod of ocean swimmers who train and compete up and down the Southern California coast and many places around the world.

To date, Doug Garland, Sean Oatey, Mark Fell, Rick Gregory, Gerry Parker, Loren Wright, Amy Aston, Mary Brain, Hank Wise, Peter Knapp, Marissa Carrillo and Michael Kilpatrick are on their way to complete the first inaugural Sea Monkey Challenge.
Open Water Swimming Highlights
- He completed a 32.3 km tandem relay crossing of the Catalina Channel from Santa Catalina Island to the Southern California mainland on 21-22 September 2019 in 9 hours 54 minutes with the following members of Team Neptune: Sam Fandrich, Mike Tran, Dave O’Neil, Devon Beebe, Fred Gilbert, and Gerry Parker.
