Gordon Gridley is an American marathon swimmer, observer and race director from Syracuse, Utah.

Open Water Swimming Career
- Gridley is the co-race director of the Great Salt Lake Open Water Marathon Swim and the Bear Lake Monster Swim together with Joshua Green.
- He conceived of the Frosted Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming, a dual achievements of the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming and Ice Mile. He achieved the Frosted Triple Crown on 14 June 2014.
- He is a co-founder of the Wasatch Front Polar Bear Club.
- On 14 August 2010, he finished 2nd in the 16 km Deer Creek Marathon Swim in Utah in 4 hours 50 minutes 3 seconds at the age of 38.
- On 13 August 2011, he finished 2nd in the 16 km Deer Creek Marathon Swim in Utah in 4 hours 56 minutes 37 seconds at the age of 39.
- He swam 33.8 km across the English Channel from England to France in 11 hours 30 minutes on 10 August 2012 at the age of 40.
- On 18 May 2013, he completed a 10 km crossing of Lake Mead in Nevada in 2 hours 36 minutes 45 seconds at the age of 40.
- He completed an ice mile in December 2013 in Great Salt Lake, Utah, USA in 1.19°C water and 6°C air in 26:00. on 7 December 2013.
- He swam 32. km across the Catalina Channel from Santa Catalina Island to the Southern California mainland in 11 hours 50 minutes on 14 August 2013 at the age of 41.
- He completed the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming with a 13th place in the 45.9 km Manhattan Island Marathon Swim on 14 June 2014 in 8 hours 10 minutes at the age of 42.
- He swam 21.7 miles across the Great Salt Lake in Utah in 10 hours 59 minutes in June 2011.
Gords Swim Log
In 1988, his high school swim coach, Robyn Masters, encouraged Gridley to keep a log of his swims, and ever since then he has done just that. He started with a notebook, and over the years converted those handwritten workouts on to his blog where he continues to log workouts, adventures, and personal rants about open water swimming.
