Ice, Water, Fire Challenge

noun - The Ice, Water, Fire Challenge is a solo challenge to climb Mount Everest, swim the English Channel and run 250 km Marathon des Sables.
History
In May 2015, Georgios-Ioannis Tsianos became the first person in history to complete the world's highest climb, swim across the English Channel and successfully run the Marathon des Sables through the Sahara Desert.
Alternative Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming Achievements
On 13 July 2009, Steven Munatones of the World Open Water Swimming Association proposed a number of alternative Triple Crown swims based on the original Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming (English Channel + Catalina Channel + Manhattan Island Marathon Swim). Similar to the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing that can be defined differently, there are a number of alternative definitions for achievements of the original Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming.
- Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming is a solo, non-assisted completion of the English Channel, the Catalina Channel, and the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim
- Irish Triple Crown is a solo, non-assisted completion of the North (Irish) Channel, the English Channel and the Catalina Channel
- Kiwi Triple Crown is a solo, non-assisted completion of the Cook Strait, the English Channel, and the Catalina Channel
- Southern California Triple Crown is a solo, non-assisted completion of one of the Santa Barbara Channels, the English Channel and the Catalina Channel
- Northern California Triple Crown is a solo, non-assisted completion of a swim between the Farallon Islands and San Francisco, the English Channel and the Catalina Channel
