Jack Boyle is a 31-year-old Irish open water swimmer, coach and triathlete from Camlough.
Open Water Swimming Highlights
- He won the 2016 Global Swim Series.
- He completed a Marathon Ice Swim of 3.3 km in 54 minutes 59 seconds in 4.63°C water and 8.0°C air on 21 February 2016 in Wild Water Armagh in Ireland at the age of 20.
- He finished 22nd in the Ice Kilometer on 1 January 2017 in the Ice Swimming Aqua Sphere World Championships in Burghausen, Germany.
- He serves as an International Ice Swimming Association official.
- He was a member of the 3-person relay team called teamRIPTIDE together with Michelle Brooker and Noel Grimes that became the first TRiO team to make the Dál Riata Channel Swim crossing. In June 2016, teamRIPTIDE started at the Mull of Kintyre, Scotland and made landfall south of Cushendun, Northern Ireland in 7 hours 44 minutes 21 seconds with support crew Milo McCourt and Afreen Ahmed and navigators Charles Stewart and Pádraig Mallon.
- He completed a 12 km Tory Sound Swim from Magheroarty on the Irish mainland to Tormore Point, Tory Island in Donegal, Ireland on 11 June 2016 in 3 hours 56 minutes, escorted by Infinity Channel Swimming together with John McElroy and Sabrina Wiedmer.
