Open Water Swimming Highlights

• He completed the 1st annual Big Richard, the longest swim-run beach biathlon in the world, from the Wedge in Newport Beach to Long Beach, California. It includes 20 miles of soft sand running and 7 miles of ocean swimming. He completed the marathon biathlon together with Matty Mitchell and Peter Joseph in 7 hours 56 minutes.
• On 6 August 2026, he completed a 32.3 km crossing of the Catalina Channel from Santa Catalina Island to the Palos Verdes Peninsula in 13 hours 53 minutes.
