- He finished 5th in the 50m freestyle at the 2019 Memphremagog Winter Swimming Festival in Lake Memphremagog, Vermont.
- On 2 September 2022, he swam 32.3 km across the Catalina Channel from Doctors Cove on Santa Catalina Island to Sacred Cove on Palos Verdes Peninsula on the Southern California mainland in 9 hours 54 minutes 51 seconds to become the second person from Colombia to swim the Catalina Channel. He was supported by Isabella Jaramillo and Gallarcher Heart-Callan with escort kayakers Barb Schumacher and Robin Hipolito, and Cammie Goodell and Marc Horowitz as CCSF observers.
