La Patagones Viedma
The La Patagones Viedma (Maraton Patagones-Viedma International Open Water Swim or Las Patagones-Viedma) is a FINA-sanctioned 10 km professional marathon swim that is part of the FINA 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup circuit and supported by the Confederacion Argentina de Deportes Acuaticos. The competition will follow the rules of the FINA 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup circuit.
The course is four loops of a 2.5-kilometer buoyed circuit. The total prize money is US$20,000.

- Location/Lugar: In the Río Negro (River Negro) between the cities of Camen de Patagones and Viedma in the Patagonia region of Argentina / En el río Negro, frente a las ciudades de Carmen de Patagones y Viedma, en la región de la Patagonia Argentina.
- Distance/Distancia: 10K - 4 loops of a 2.5K course / 10K - circuito boyado de 2,5K (4 vueltas)

The Maraton Patagones-Viedma International Open Water Swim was also a stop on the FINA Open Water Mass Swimming World Series that includes a 1.6 km sprint race for the professional marathon swimmers, El Cruce Del Rio, a 600m shore-to-shore (bank-to-bank race for 200 amateur swimmers, the Iron Kids races of 20m to 50m in distance for 5-10 year old swimmers, and La Puente a Puente, a downstream river swim bridge to bridge starting on one side of the river and finishing 3.8 km on the other for swimmers over 13 years old.
The courses were on the Patagones side of the river that bridged the opposite sides of the Rio Negro, Patagones and Viedma.
