Liam Maher
Liam Maher is an Irish open water swimmer from Cork who trains at Sandycove Island and owns the Gabriel House. His coach is Eilis Burns.
Open Water Swimming Career[edit]
- He completed the English Channel under the auspices of the Channel Swimming & Piloting Federation on 19 July 2010 in 13 hours 11 minutes
- He completed the 26.4 km Lake Zurich Marathon Swim in 9 hours 40 seconds in 2009.
- He swam a boat assisted 8 hour 50 minute circumnavigation of the 2013 Manhattan Island Marathon Swim on 8 June 2013
- He led the singing of The Fields of Athenry at the 2013 Global Open Water Swimming Conference in Cork, Ireland
