Magda Okurkova
Magda Okurková (born 1991) is a 30-year-old open water swimmer and winter swimmer from Brno, Czech Republic.
Open Water Swimming Highlights
- She finished 9th in the 450m freestyle at the 13th edition of the Winter Swimming World Championships (WSWC) on 25 January 2023.
- She finished 6th in the 1000m freestyle at the 13th Winter Swimming World Championships in Lake Bled, Slovenia on 23 January 2023.
- Okurková won the 450m endurance swim at the 2014 Winter Swimming Championships in Finland.
- Okurková completed the fastest ice mile in history for women, set in December 2014 in Dun. Streda, Slovakia in 4.23°C water and 0°C air in 24:05. The Guinness World Records recognized her swim as ratified by the International Ice Swimming Association as the Fastest Ice Mile Swim by a Female at the 2019 WOWSA Ocean Fest.
- Okurková finished eighth at the ice kilometer at the 2017 Ice Swimming Aqua Sphere World Championships in Burghausen, Germany.
- As of February 2019, she is ranked 20th in the International Ice Swimming Association world Ice Kilometer all-time rankings.
- She finished 7th in the 1000m freestyle at the IISA 4th World Championships in 15:53:54 on 5 February 2022 in Głogów, Poland at the age of 30.
