Matthias Kaßner (or Matthias Kassner) is a 56-year-old German open water swimmer from Berlin.
Open Water Swimming Highlights
- He achieved the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming in 2015.
- He achieved the Frosted Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming on 27 January 2017.

- On 20 August 2015, he crossed the 32.3 km Catalina Channel from Santa Catalina Island to the Southern California mainland in 13 hours 59 minutes 31 seconds at the age of 47.

- He finished 7th in the Ice Kilometer at the Ice Swimming Volendam event on 18-19 January 2020 in zwembad De Waterdam Edam/Volendam, Netherlands at the age of 53.
- On 27 August 2024, he completed the In Search of Memphre in 19 hours 47 minutes under the guidance of Gary Coburn, Vera Rivard, Ina Kaßner, and Paula Yankauskas at the age of 56.
