Michael Rice is a 40-year-old American open water swimmer, triathlete, and a former collegiate swimmer at Florida State University from Golden, Colorado. His mother is English Channel swimmer Gail Rice.

- He will compete in the SCAR Swim Challenge, a 4-day stage swim in Arizona on 23-26 April 2025 at the age of 40.
- On 26-29 April 2023, he won and set the men's record in the SCAR Swim Challenge, a 4-day stage swim in Arizona.

- On 28 April 2021, he won the 13.3 km crossing of Saguaro Lake in 2 hours 59 minutes 43 seconds at the age of 36.

- On 10 July 2022, he won the 17.2 km Portland Bridge Swim down the Willamette River in Oregon in 3 hours 56 minutes 0.5 seconds at the age of 38.
- On 19 September 2022, he completed a 32.3 km crossing of the Catalina Channel from Santa Catalina Island to Palos Verdes Peninsula in [[Southern California in 8 hours 43 minutes 39 seconds, supported by pace swimmer Sarah Thomas with the support of Mary Rice, escort kayakers Dan Simonelli and Barb Schumacher, and observers Don Van Cleve and Marc Horowitz on board the Bottom Scratcher.
