The Open Water Swimmers Hong Kong (OWSHK) is a group of open water swimmers in Hong Kong.

Swims

Open Water Swimmers of Hong Kong meet every Saturday, year round at 2 pm at Repulse Bay, since 2007.

Groups

OWSHK has two groups (A and B) to cater for different levels of swimmers.

Events

In addition to weekly training sessions, OWSHK organizes Time Trials, Team Events, Handicap Events, straight out swims from 1.5 km to 5 km, and the Middle Island Challenge Hong Kong, a 3.3 km open water race around Middle Island near Repulse Bay held in October, the Chung Hom Kok 5k Challenge, and the King & Queen Sprints Race.

Mission

The Mission at OWSHK is to build a team atmosphere for our training sessions, events and its online community.

Vision

It’s important to remember, while swimmers are driven and focused on their own personal achievements, we should never forget to simply enjoy the Ocean, the friendships we establish, stay healthy and just have fun.
