Orca Marathon Swim Club

From Openwaterpedia

Orca Marathon Swim Club was a marathon swimming and channel swimming team based in Southern California. The pioneering team from the 1970's formed what would become the Catalina Channel Swimming Federation. Orca members included International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame honorees Penny Lee Dean (1980), Cindy Cleveland (2018) and John York (1989), who serves today as the CCSF vice-president.

Last year, the Orcas mourned the passing of another member, Mary Beth Colpo, the 34th swimmer across the Catalina Channel.
