Richard Payne

Richard Payne (born 19 November 1954) is an Australian open water swimmer and member of the Half Century Club for his 7-8 August 2010 crossing of the English Channel in 22 hours 45 minutes at the age of 55 under the auspices of the Channel Swimming & Piloting Federation and the escort of Lance Oram together with his wife Cheryl and Iceberger General Manager John Locco. He was coached by John van Wisse and is a Royal Brighton Yacht Club Iceberger who trains in Port Phillip Bay in Melbourne.
