It is also the venue of the annual 19 km All India Swimming Marathon and the 81 km India National Open Water Swimming Competition, the second longest open water swim in the world and the longest amateur marathon swimming competition, an event in the Top 50 Open Water Swims In Asia and the World's Top 100 Open Water Swims.
